SWECC will host Somali Women Climate Conference to recognize the role of women in
addressing the adverse effects of climate change and to accelerate inclusive participation of
women in climate change, adaption, mitigation, and responsive initiatives and increase
women’s visibility in climate actions.

The conference will be an annual event that will bring together the Somali women in
environmental profession, experts, activists and women environmental organizations,
women led companies that provide environmental services, academics, researchers,
students, investors and entrepreneurs in green business, journalists and media houses to
develop capacities, share experiences and collaborate on developing expertise and
competency through trainings and research in the field of climate change.
