Despite these challenges, they possess valuable knowledge and expertise that can be leveraged for climate change mitigation, disaster reduction, and adaptation. Recognizing this potential, Action for Environment established the Somali Women in Environment and Climate Change (SWECC) program to empower women, emphasize their critical role, and develop scalable solutions for climate action.
